Edinburgh-headquartered design and digital agency, Web Foundry is expanding into Manchester as it reaches its 10th successful year in business.
The agency holds a diverse portfolio, specialising in hotels, membership services and education, which has been a big motivation behind its growth plans into the North-West.
Founded back in 2006 in Edingburgh by managing director Phil Holt, the business now employs 22 members of staff, and works with clients such as Chester Hotel, Queensferry Hotels, The Interactive Design Institute, Delamere, The North West Academies and the University of Hertfordshire; having expertise across Web Development including (Drupal, WordPress, Joomla) as well as eCommerce, online marketing and social media management.
The Manchester office is currently being headed up by two business development managers, James Bishop and Mitesh Patel, who have a combined 20 years’ experience in the industry. The pair will work to build on the organisation’s position within the city, and ultimately achieve company growth.
Phil Holt, commented on the move: “Being from Bolton originally, I never lost touch with Manchester. I have seen the tech and digital scene in the city go from strength to strength over the years, and as a result I have always wanted to have a base for the business here.
“I have spent a decade building Web Foundry as a successful business and expanding into Manchester now is a logical step for us to further increase our portfolio of impressive clients. In particular, we have vast experience within both hospitality and education, there is a sea of opportunity for us in these sectors in the North-West of England.
“So far the business community has been really welcoming, and I am truly excited to be a part of the growth of Manchester and to see where this new venture will take the business.”
The Manchester team is currently based in MediaCity UK, but will move to the new Colony offices in Wilmslow in September.
