Vector Software announces support for Microsoft Visual Studio

Vector Software, a provider of software solutions for testing safety and mission critical embedded applications, has announced that the VectorCAST test suite now supports Microsoft Visual Studio 2012. As a result of this integration, developers can now test C and C++ applications built using Visual Studio compilers.

Vector Software”s support for Visual Studio 2012 continues the company’s mission to help customers develop high quality applications by enabling developers to thoroughly test them. Using the new support for the Microsoft Visual Studio release, engineers can use the Studio Integrated Development Environment (IDE) to design applications, and test them natively using the VectorCAST test suite.

The Visual Studio IDE is considered one of the world’s leading design environments for C and C++ developers, and Vector Software has supported the tool suite since 1998. The VectorCAST test suite for Microsoft provides complete, full-featured support for Visual Studio C and C++ compilers. This allows unit and integration test environments to be built using the same compiler environment that is used during development.

“With our continued support for Microsoft Visual Studio, the VectorCAST test suite maintains its position as a best-in-class solution”, said John Paliotta, Chief Technology Officer at Vector Software, “and developers will benefit from the unified solution by engineering high quality applications.”
