UltraSoC has announced that ELVEES has licensed UltraSoC’s embedded analytics technology for use in its next-generation video processing offerings. The new ELVEES system on chip (SoC) product will provide advanced capabilities for a broad range of applications, from automotive safety and ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems), to facial recognition, augmented/virtual reality and vision based IoT systems.
This is the second time that ELVEES, a leading provider of world-class semiconductor products with heterogeneous multicore SoC architectures for video analytics, has chosen to include UltraSoC in one of its systems-on-chip (SoCs) – now opting to use UltraSoC for designs using both MIPS and ARM processor architectures.
UltraSoC’s embedded analytics will help to ensure maximum performance and reliability of the ELVEES custom low-power ASIC for IP-cameras. This latest ELVEES ASIC design is a next-generation multi-platform multi-core SoC that enables the development of a new generation of IP cameras with video analysis (CV – computer vision) and a wide range of OEM modules, applicable across a broad spectrum of devices including robotics with AI (artificial intelligence).
Given the demanding applications and the use of a complex heterogeneous multi-core SoC architecture, ELVEES’ requirements went far beyond the capabilities of traditional vendor-specific debug architectures such as ARM CoreSight. UltraSoC was selected for the benefits it brings in terms of faster time-to-market and reduced risk; as well as the potential to use embedded intelligent analytics to ensure optimized performance throughout the product lifecycle – even after the chip is designed into an end product.
ELVEES, founded in 1991, is based in Moscow. UltraSoC announced in June it was expanding its presence in Russia, via a strategic partnership with Nautech, one of the region’s leading technical representatives. Nautech has played a key role in securing this second collaboration between UltraSoC and ELVEES.

The heterogeneous multi-core processor architecture at the heart of ELVEES’ powerful solutions, combined with UltraSoC’s toolbox of silicon IP, allows SoCs to monitor and analyse system behaviour in real-time and under real operating conditions. By embedding UltraSoC, these capabilities enable identification of unexpected behaviour and can provide hardware-based protection against malicious attacks and malfunctions. ELVEES now uses both ARM and MIPS architectures for its designs, and chose to use UltraSoC to provide the necessary embedded analysis across both MIPS and ARM platforms.
