TVLogic utilises MACOM’s 12G-SDI adaptive equaliser for its new 4K professional broadcast monitor

M/A-COM Technology Solutions Holdings (“MACOM”), a supplier of semiconductor solutions for broadcast video infrastructure, has announced that TVLogic, a broadcast equipment manufacturer, has chosen MACOM’s M23554 Adaptive Equaliser for the 12G-SDI interface of its new LUM-310A 4K professional broadcast monitor.

“As the broadcast industry transitions to 4K, current solutions utilize a quad 3G-SDI interface,” said Kyungkook Lee, CEO, TVLogic. “MACOM’s M23554 12G-SDI Adaptive Equaliser allows us to receive 4k60p over a single 12G Link. This capability allows TVLogic to enable broadcasters to view fully uncompressed UHD video in real time with the most efficient infrastructure necessary.”

“The 4K node is the next evolutionary step for broadcast video production,” said Hasnain Bajwa, senior vice president and general manager, High Performance Analog, MACOM. “Our 12G-SDI portfolio provides the essential building blocks for equipment manufacturers to bring UHD to the studio.  We are pleased that TVLogic has selected our 12G-SDI equaliser for their next generation of professional broadcast monitors.”

MACOM’s family of 12G-SDI products are currently shipping in volume. These MACOM products will be shown at NAB 2015 in booth N3115 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, April 13th – 16th.
