THE FUTURE OF MOBILE ENERGY – COMMUNICATIVE BATTERIES WITH BLUETOOTH

Sensitive Li-Ion batteries are usually equipped with an intelligent battery management system to maximize the operational reliability and life of these batteries. These batteries are used in intelligent applications in which they communicate with the end device or with the charging station and  exchange information such as current, voltage, residual capacitance, temperatures, charging cycles, etc.

By connecting a Bluetooth module, there are a multitude of possibilities for manufacturers and end users.  This integration of a Bluetooth module in the battery (a key part of a battery-powered application) not only allows access to data and parameters in the battery but also to information in the end application and the charger. Even firmware settings and updates are possible via the wireless Bluetooth module.

The processing of service operations also becomes child’s play.

ANSMANN provides a corresponding app, with which all relevant information from the battery can be read, displayed and evaluated. As required, access to battery and end device is also possible. Using this app, the live data from the battery can be graphically displayed and logged. The app can be provided with access rights or restrictions, for allowing different authorization levels. Software can be tailored for your specific application in order to adapt the advantages of the system in devices already available on the market.

ANSMANN STANDARD LI-ION PACKS – SAVE TIME AND MONEY WITH OUR READY MADE PACKS

It is often not cost effective to develop new batteries if the annual quanitity requirements are low – development time is too long and engineering costs are high.  One of our standard off-the-shelf Li-Ion battery packs may be just what you need.  We have a number of packs in our range to suit many applications.  These are available quickly and inexpensively to our customers, either as standard applications or complete systems with battery charger as well.  Development of new standard packs is ongoing and therefore new ones are introduced on a regular basis.  We have recently increased our range with  7 new higher capacity packs (pictured above), giving more than 20 to the range.

All our packs are subjected to strict safety, functional and cycle tests to ensure you get the very best quality.  Along with our own manufacturing tests they are also all tested to UN 38.3 for transportation, in our own in-house UN test facility.

These tests include: Altitude simulation, Thermal test, Vibration test, Shock test, External Short circuit test, Impact test, Overcharge test and Forced Discharge test.

There are suitable chargers in our standard charger range for most applications and they all have sophisticated charging technology, automatic switch-off and a charging indicator.  For a complete solution contact us and we will advise the best charger and battery technology for your specific application.
