Available from specialist distributor Switchtec, the units have been developed and designed following detailed input from Switchtec whose knowledge of the UK market enabled them to specify a unit specifically for use in the country, the enclosed mains switches offer a no compromise solution.
The switches are housed in weather resistant polycarbonate boxes that contribute to an excellent product environment rating of IP65. The most important application areas are those for switching between mains and generator sourced 240VAC supplies. Such switches are often mounted on walls in unheated industrial sheds, factory outbuildings and even on machines themselves, so resistance to water ingress is paramount.
The units are suited for use by panel builders, generator manufacturers, generator accessory suppliers, equipment and machine manufacturers, and in H&V applications.
Telergon’s enclosed changeover switches from Switchtec are available in 25A, 32A, 40A, 63A, 80A & 125A ratings. These units feature enclosure sizes of 130x95x65, 130x130x75, 187x122x90, 240x191x107, 190x190x130 & 280x190x130mm respectively.
Offering versatility, the switches are now available in two, three and four-pole versions for three phase applications. All of the enclosed changeover switches are supplied with a rotary operating handle that is padlockable in the off position. This feature is often an added extra from competitors, but standard on these switches from Telergon.
Designed with the customer in mind, Telergon have used a quality polycarbonate plastic enclosure in which to mount their switches. Providing a better aesthetic appearance and strong construction, the enclosures are supplied with multiple sized knockouts for ease of installation.
