Switched Mode Power supply testing made easy via ITECH and Aspen

The IT9121 power analyser can measure voltage, current, power, frequency, harmonics and other parameters. It has a maximum rated input of 600Vrms and 20Arms with measurement bandwidth of 100 kHz. The basic voltage and current accuracy is 0.1 per cent. The standard configuration includes USB, GPIB, RS232 and LAN communication interfaces in addition to interfaces for USB-based peripheral devices. Users can save the measured parameters via an external storage medium.

The IT9121 power meter can measure all AC and DC parameters, including the active power, reactive power, apparent power, power factor, voltage, current, frequency, phase difference, etc. It also has a bandwidth of 100KHz, which can realise high-speed harmonic measurement within a wider dynamic range. In addition, the IT9121 can be used for measurement of multiple harmonics – 50 harmonics of the fundamental frequency can be measured.

The special 5mA range makes direct testing in accordance with EN50564 possible, without the need for an external transducer – a perfect test solution for the power test of high-power electrical household appliances. The harmonic and power consumption measurements play an important part in research, development and production of such appliances as the energy consumption and safety of these appliances are key factors when it comes to making a purchasing decision.
