The extensive range of Binder M12 connectors has been extended with the availability of new surface mount panel connectors. Supplied in two halves: an SMT contact carrier that is made of liquid crystal polymer and an optional nickel-plated brass body if it is required, these new connectors are suitable for re-flow soldering at 250°C for 20 to 40 seconds and are available with or without shielding.
Male and female versions are available with contacts gold-plated on the mating side and gold/tin plated on the solder side in four, five and eight pole formats. Housings have a height of nine or 13mm and the connectors are protected to IP67 when mated. The M12 interface is provided with A, B and D coding, the current rating is 2A and 4A and voltage 250V, 125V and 60V.
These new connectors are ideal for applications in control, automation, sensing and instrumentation equipment.
