SmartKem, a UK chemical specialist and leader in the design and development of semiconductors for electronic displays, has signed a landmark deal which will lead to full commercialisation of its organic thin film transistor (OTFT) technology.
The contract will see complete technology transfer, including production line deployment and supply of materials, to a leading Taiwanese display maker by September this year to enable the mass manufacture of low power, lightweight, flexible displays.
