Shadow Robot wins place at UK’s largest innovation show to launch new product

The Shadow Robot Company from London has won a place in an exhibition of the most cutting edge innovations from businesses across the country at the UK’s largest innovation show in November.

Shadow Robot was one of 100 companies nationwide to be selected to showcase its innovation to over 2,500 attendees at Innovate 2016 on November 2nd and 3rd in Manchester.

Rich Walker, Shadow Robot Company’s managing director, said: “We’re thrilled to have won a place at Innovate 2016 showcasing our new product innovations. We’ll be using the opportunity to launch a new product that takes the work we’re famous for, building dexterous hands for robots, and moving it into a new, more commercial direction. We can’t say too much at this time but we’re really excited to have the platform of Innovate 2016 to present this groundbreaking work and to have the chance to speak with so many international investors, companies and academic institutions.”

Innovate UK chief executive Ruth McKernan said: “Innovate 2016 will be an excellent opportunity for Shadow Robot to showcase their cutting edge innovation to a national and international audience. I congratulate Shadow Robot on their success in winning a place and look forward to their involvement in our annual flagship show of innovation excellence across the UK.”

Innovate 2016 is the UK’s largest multi-sector innovation event and is organised by Innovate UK and the Department for International Trade. It has been set up to create opportunities for export and investment for the UK’s most innovative companies.
