Sequans approves Anritsu MT8870A for high speed production test of LTE Devices

Anritsu Corporation is now approved by LTE chipmaker Sequans Communications for using the MT8870A Universal Wireless Test Set as an advanced manufacturing test solution of LTE devices based on Sequans’ Mont Blanc LTE platform.

The MT8870A offers a cost effective solution by supporting multiple standards and multiple antenna testing in parallel, and has modular and expandable chassis architecture. It is able to support all the major worldwide cellular standards, as well as short range wireless (e.g. WiFiTM and BluetoothTM), GNSS (e.g. GPS and GLONASS), and FM radio testing. This provides a comprehensive and flexible manufacturing test solution for Smartphones and wireless connectivity devices.

The CombiTest software environment provides a sophisticated application to control the MT8870A test hardware, ensuring the solution can be easily configured and controlled. With this application, MT8870A is able to support both the RF calibration and the screening (final test) requirements of the production line device test for Sequans chipset based devices.

Sequans’ Mont Blanc LTE platform comprises Sequans’ SQN3120 baseband SOC with an integrated network CPU, a carrier-proven and mature LTE protocol stack, an LTE-optimised transceiver, a comprehensive software package, and reference designs.
