SecureRF appoints Adam Scheer as president

SecureRF Corporation, a leading provider of quantum-resistant security tools for low-resource processors powering the Internet of Things (IoT), has announced that Adam Scheer has been named president, reporting to Louis Parks, SecureRF’s CEO.

“This is an exciting time for SecureRF to add a leader of Adam’s caliber to our team,” said Parks. “As we continue to earn recognition for our industry-leading and quantum-resistant, public-key security tools for low-resource processors, we will benefit from Adam’s strong record of achievement driving growth through collaboration with global technology leaders. Adam’s deep experience in security and authentication, as well as his success in creating winning partnerships in the payments, consumer electronics, automotive, and healthcare verticals, will enable him to add immediate value to SecureRF and our global network of partners.”

Most recently, Scheer was the chief operating officer of MRV Communications, where he was responsible for product management, marketing, strategy, and corporate development. He also played a key role leading MRV’s recent sale to ADVA Optical Networking. Before joining MRV, Scheer was the vice president of marketing and product management for the Optical Security and Performance Products group of Viavi Solutions (formerly JDSU). At Viavi Solutions and its predecessor companies, Scheer held senior marketing, strategy, and product management roles with a strong focus on authentication and anti-counterfeiting. Prior to Viavi Solutions, Scheer served in senior corporate development, strategy, and finance roles in the technology and chemical industries after starting his career as an investment banker.

“I feel privileged to join Louis Parks and the SecureRF team,” said Scheer. “As a leading security partner to semiconductor vendors, IP builders, and IoT platform providers, SecureRF stands at the intersection of the most exciting trends and technologies driving innovation today. I look forward to working with the SecureRF team and our growing partner network to ensure that many of the technologies that touch our lives every day are safe, trusted, and efficient.”
