RS Components named High Service Distributor of the Year 2016 by Honeywell

RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc, the global distributor for engineers, has been awarded High Service Distributor of the Year 2016 by Honeywell’s Sensing and Internet of Things (IoT) business division. This recognition is the result of the active and sustained introduction of Honeywell products to the RS stocked offer over the past 12 months, which has substantially enhanced access to the range for customers across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific.

RS and Honeywell have a longstanding relationship spanning more than two decades, and an authorised distribution agreement is in place between the two companies for the supply of Honeywell’s Sensing and IoT range, covering an extensive selection of sensors and switches, controls and monitors, and test and measurement products.

Kevin Shield, Head of Automation and Control at RS, commented: “By continually extending our product offer from Honeywell we are delivering truly innovative sensing and switching technologies to key industries from a manufacturer with unique engineering expertise and added-value capabilities. Collaboration between our teams is key to achieving this, and this award recognises our successful partnership, which puts the customer first and has led to continued business growth.”

Bernd Clarenz, Channel Manager Europe at Honeywell, said: “With a major presence across EMEA and Asia Pacific, RS has the advanced logistical and eCommerce capabilities to reach a massive customer base globally, ensuring fast access to our sensing and IoT portfolio. The outstanding performance achieved by RS over the past year and more is solid evidence that working in partnership to give customers more choice and faster service is a highly productive approach.”

Harry Joch, Channel Leader Europe at Honeywell, added: “RS is playing a key role in supporting our new product introduction strategy and is active in bringing sensor innovations to the attention of potential customers. This is enabling customers to develop the most efficient and state-of-the art solutions, and gain a competitive advantage on the world market.”
