RS Components (RS) has announced the availability of high quality 3D printing filaments from Verbatim. These top brand PLA and ABS filaments extend the RS 3D print offering to further benefit engineers in the rapid prototyping of their designs. The Verbatim PLA and ABS ranges are available in 1.75mm diameter filament. The PLA range is also supplied in 3mm diameter filament.
Both are offered on 1kg spools and in an assortment of vibrant colours including red, green and blue. PLA (PolyLactic Acid) filament is a biodegradable bio-plastic derived from corn and is guaranteed not to include heavy metals or common chemicals such as phthalates and Bisphenol-A (BPA). ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) filament is a co-polymer made from styrene, acryl and butadiene and is both impact resistant and tough.
Manufactured in Japan, both the ABS and PLA materials meet extremely tight tolerances, ensuring consistent feed and stable printing. The filaments are distributed in vacuum-sealed bags with desiccant and are wound on to a spool for easy dispensing.
Suitable for a wide range of 3D printers, these PLA and ABS filaments complement the existing 3D printing material offering from RS to provide a wider choice to engineers. RS is among the first distributors to stock the Verbatim 3D printing filaments across the EMEA region.
