Rohde & Schwarz signs Link Microtek as Value Instruments reseller

Link Microtek, the specialist supplier of RF and microwave components and instrumentation, has been appointed as a UK reseller for the Value Instruments range of general-purpose test-and-measurement equipment manufactured by Rohde & Schwarz and its HAMEG subsidiary. 

Offering a comprehensive line-up of reliable, precise and affordable measuring equipment, the Value Instruments range includes items such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, network analysers, signal generators, power supplies, multimeters and EMC precompliance products. 

Commenting on the agreement, Link Microtek’s technical director Hugo Bibby said: “This is an exciting opportunity for us as the high-spec microwave components we supply are often used in test-and-measurement applications. In addition, our low-frequency EMF safety meter can be used with an oscilloscope to allow more detailed analysis of waveforms. So there is a great deal of synergy with our existing portfolio of products, and we are sure that our customer base will be very interested in a budget range of instruments from a top-quality manufacturer like Rohde & Schwarz.” 

Alison Barber, Rohde & Schwarz’s account manager for rental and distribution partners in the UK, was equally enthusiastic about the tie-up with Link. “The company’s focus on RF and microwave technology is complemented by a significant amount of general T&M expertise, which means that customers can be confident they’ll be dealing with technically knowledgeable people,” she said. 

All Value Instruments products are manufactured in Germany, with new additions to the range now being marketed solely under the Rohde & Schwarz brand.
