PRECI-DIP signs global distribution agreement with Digi-Key

Global electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corporation has announced that it has signed a global distribution agreement with PRECI-DIP SA, a Swiss manufacturer of connectors and contacts, whose products are used in designs for applications including industrial, data processing, MIL/aero, medical, telecommunication, automotive, IT, among others.

PRECI-DIP’s designs combine components, such as socket contacts with multi-finger clips, spring-loaded contacts, and PCB connectors that include headers, sockets, as well as materials suitable for high-speed equipment. Separated components and their cam-set driven screw machines give them the flexibility to lower MOQs, reducing product and tooling costs.

“Today’s engineering applications are continuously seeking new, rugged interconnect components to give them a leading edge in their markets,” said Tom Busher, vice president, global interconnect, passive, and electromechanical product at Digi-Key. “PRECI-DIP’s spring-loaded technology will give our customers a cost-effective and reliable solution to their mating cycle, high shock and vibration, and board-to-board connection needs.”

PRECI-DIP is a vertically integrated company, which allows them to have total control over costs and quality. Their mechanical engineering workshop designs and manufactures state-of-the-art screw machines, secondary operation and assembly equipment, as well as injection mold tools, providing robust interconnect solutions used in board-to-board connection applications.

“Digi-Key supports our commitment to meet the design needs of a diverse customer base through an easy-to-use and flexible channel,” said Tanguy Tronel, PRECI-DIP Director of Worldwide Sales and Marketing. “As the leading provider of interconnects based on screw-machine contacts for various markets, PRECI-DIP is committed to continuously expanding its global presence and service.”
