Plus Opto Launches Integrated Touch Computers

Plus Opto, the Optoelectronics Specialist, announces the launch of the 4.3″ Beta 431 and 7″ Beta 711 integrated touch computers.  

The Beta 431 and 701 are low cost (prices from less than £100), full function units making them ideal for a wide range of applications including test, laboratory, medical, kiosk, digital signage, automation and communications equipment. 

Designed to ensure that you get your product into production as quickly as possible, the Beta is an easy to mount, fully operational, tested and approved module.  

Each module incorporates a Cortex A8 single board computer with a full set of interfaces, a 4.3″ or 7.1″ touch screen TFT, bezel and mounting bolts. 

So all you need to do is add your application to start using your Beta module.
The Beta 431 incorporates a 4.3”480×272 resolution TFT with Resistive Touch Panel (RTP). The larger Beta 711 boasts a 7.1” 800×480 pixel TFT with options of RTP and Projected Capacitive Touch (PCT).

The Single core ARM Cortex A8 processor board features a wide range of I/O including RS232/485, Dual USB 1.1& 2.0 Host ports, 10/100LAN, HDMI / DVI and 12 high speed Analogue outputs or digital I/O. Options include CAN and Power over Ethernet (PoE).

Beta comes loaded with either Ubuntu Linux or Android Operating System (OS) so all you need to do is load the application; the unit is already EMC, thermally tested, and CE approved. The operating temperature is 0-55°C.

Every Beta model is very easy to integrate into your product; it requires just a single 5 volt DC power supply and consumes less than one amp.

Cables and power supply can be supplied separately, on request.
