Perforce Software, a global provider of solutions to enterprise teams requiring productivity, visibility and scale during all phases of the technology development lifecycle, today announces its acquisition of Sweden-based Hansoft Technologies, a leading provider of enterprise Agile planning tools. The acquisition deepens the Perforce portfolio of solutions by adding a robust Agile planning and project management toolset.
“At Perforce, we’re on a mission to connect teams to the efficiency, insights, support and security they need to innovate without limits. With this latest acquisition, we’re pleased to build on that undertaking with a unique solution that provides both macro- and micro-level views into enterprise Agile projects,” says Janet Dryer, Perforce CEO.
Favoured worldwide by AAA game studios and Internet of Things pioneers alike, the Hansoft software empowers entire teams — from developers to managers to executives — with planning, management, and collaboration tools that improve efficiency and productivity. The software achieves this by synchronising two entities that often have conflicting needs in Agile enterprises: the development team and the management team. Using Hansoft, team members are free to use their preferred combinations of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies, including changing methodologies in flight, while managers and executives can make informed decisions with real-time insights and status provided by comprehensive visual dashboards.
“The Hansoft tool for Agile enterprise project management is a great example of strong technology coming out of the capital region of Sweden. Now, with the global resources of Perforce this great technology can reach a much bigger audience worldwide,” said Patric Palm, Hansoft co-founder and former CEO.
“Together we’re a powerful team. And a great fit,” says Rikard Nilsson, chief product officer, Hansoft Technologies. “We’re excited to continue enhancing Hansoft for our devoted customers, while extending it to enterprises needing an Agile planning solution that scales with their needs.”
The announcement comes mere weeks after Perforce unveiled its latest solution, Helix TeamHub Enterprise, a code hosting and collaboration solution for multi-repository types that delivers significantly improved build performance for large-scale Git environments.
