NextG-Com unveils LTE host test platform for Release 11 conformance

NextG-Com, a UK technology specialist company, working in embedded software products and services for LTE, M2M and satellite communications, has developed a low-cost LTE protocol test platform on host compliant to 3GPP Release 11 specification. The XANTHUS 203 is a protocol conformance test framework that allows the execution of TTCN3 36.523 Test Cases as published by ETSI.

NextG-Com XANTHUS 203 tests the integrated LTE software stack for user equipment (UE) before it is ported onto a hardware platform. Incorporating an easy debugging environment, it will help to reduce the time and effort that would otherwise be spent on investigating and solving complex issues on a hardware platform. The XANTHUS 203 also removes dependency on the availability of hardware and RF to test the protocol stack components and provides a powerful component for continuous integration strategy and non-regression testing.

XANTHUS 203 will incorporate the complete 3GPP LTE conformance test suite, which will allow for considerable cost savings compared with traditional host and equipment protocol conformance solutions. The platform easily supports different levels of abstraction (Layer1, MAC, RRC), depending upon requirements and project integration phase.

“NextG-Com has extensive experience of developing test frameworks on host and a history of delivering to major global cellular and satellite market players, and we are committed to helping our customers reduce time-to-market,” said Denis Bidinost, NextG-Com CEO. “By providing advanced test platforms like XANTHUS to the cellular and wireless industry, we are confident we can meet the requirement for easier and lower cost protocol test platforms for 3GPP LTE protocol”
