knitter-switch, a leading switch manufacturer, has launched the YFT ME Series of vandal resistant metal keyboards designed for use outdoors as well as in a wide variety of indoor applications where the environment can prove to be “challenging” such as industrial automation equipment and automotive diagnostic systems.
Made from stainless steel, the YFT ME Series keyboards are rated to IP65 as standard but can be sealed to IP69K as an option. knitter-switch offers a full custom design service for these metal keyboards with surprisingly small minimum order quantities.
The keyboards incorporate circular keys from 11 to 17mm diameter with the option of backlighting. According to knitter-switch, the keys have a lifetime up to 3 million cycles.
In addition to industrial automation equipment and automotive diagnostic systems, these metal keyboards are also suitable for many types of self-service machines, including bank cash machines, as well as pharmaceutical and telecommunications systems.
A wide range of standard DIL, TACT, Rotary Encoder, Toggle and Push-button Switches are available direct from knitter-switch and a number of distributors throughout Europe. Samples are usually available on next day delivery.
