MSC Gleichmann has announced its appointment as pan-European distributor for Fujitsu Semiconductor. MSC Gleichmann will carry the full Fujitsu Semiconductor product line, which addresses the automotive, communications, industrial & home appliances and home entertainment markets, but will focus in particular on Fujitsu’s Ferroelectric RAM and Cortex M3 microcontroller products.

Fujitsu leads the world in developing and manufacturing ferroelectric memory and has delivered more than 1 billion devices. FRAM (ferroelectric RAM) is a unique, non-volatile, low-power memory technology that offers high writing speed and long rewriting endurance, meaning that OEM developers no longer need to differentiate between RAM and ROM. Devices are available with parallel, serial and I2C interfaces and memory densities from 4kbit to 4Mbit.
Fujitsu‘s FM3 family of 32-bit ARM Cortex M3 microcontrollers provides a scalable platform offering performance and features tailored to applications from factory automation and white goods through to medical and handheld devices. Customers can select CPU frequencies from 20MHz to 144 MHz with operation from supply voltages of 1.65V to 5.5V, packages from 32pin to 176pin, flash memory sizes between 32KB and 1MB and a range of peripherals including motor controllers, 12-bit ADCs and USB, Ethernet and CAN interfaces. A full set of development tools is available including starter kits.
