Mouser Electronics, the authorised global distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, is pleased to announce that Todd McAtee, Mouser’s vice president of America’s Business Development, has been honoured with the Distinguished Service Award from the Electronic Components Industry Association (ECIA).
ECIA, the leading non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the needs and interests of the authorised electronic components supply chain, presents the award annually for “significant contributions to the leadership and activities of the electronic components industry and the association.”
The award was presented at ECIA’s recent 2016 Executive Conference, held October 23–25 in Chicago. McAtee was cited for playing a leading role in helping to foster membership within the manufacturer representatives community.
John Denslinger, president and CEO of ECIA, called a McAtee “a champion of authorised distribution. His devotion to our cause and his unfailing professionalism have greatly contributed to our success.”
“ECIA has been fortunate to have Todd’s guidance and enthusiasm as we launched the Regional Series events,” said Blair Haas, ECIA board chairman. “One colleague describes him as a passionate advocate ‘spark plug’ working with persistence and tenacity to advance and improve the components industry. We totally agree. We’ve relied on Todd’s special brand of persuasion and enthusiasm to fill the seats at industry events. Thank you for your hard work and dedication.”
“I am greatly honoured to be recognised by ECIA, an organisation vital to our industry,” McAtee said. “I am pleased to have the opportunity to foster our collective goals. ECIA has long promoted the value and safety of the authorised distribution channel. At Mouser, we are commitment to delivering authorised genuine components to our customers, and assisting ECIA helps all in our industry.”
McAtee is highly involved with ECIA, serving on several committees, helping to develop the ECIA Manufacturer Representative contract, and assisting in the event planning for the ECIA Regional Meeting Series. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the EDS summit and the Electronics Representatives Association (ERA) planning committee for the 2017 ERA Management and Marketing Conference.
An industry veteran of over 30 years, McAtee leads the development, execution, and management of Mouser’s manufacturer representative and supplier sales channel support programs. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from Key Executive Programs at Harvard Business School and the Duke Leadership Program at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, as well as progressively senior management roles. His well-rounded experience includes executive positions in distributor, supplier, and manufacturer representative sides of the industry.
Mouser executives Hayne Shumate, Keith Privett and Glenn Smith have also received the ECIA Distinguished Service Award in recent years.
