“Your ticket to innovative thinking”
Mouser Electronics, Inc., a leading engineering resource and global distributor of semiconductors and electronic components, today announced the launch of a PCB design integration tool MultiSIM BLUE, designed in collaboration with National Instruments Co. (NI). The powerful tool is available free globally, and is offered in English and German as well as Simplified Chinese.
This all-new PCB design integration tool utilizes the Berkeley SPICE engine and includes a preloaded component library of over 100,000 frequently used components from multiple Mouser databases. MultiSIM BLUE facilitates real-time BOM price quotes and component database updates enhance the creative design engineering efficiency. The tool supports pre-layout design convergence analysis and mixed-signal simulation, and can handle components as complex as BGAs with over 1000 pins on pin-pitches down to 0.8mm. MultiSIM BLUE also provides a 3D visualization of the PCB with no limits on the shape and size of the PCB, thereby enabling innovative, forward-looking design.
“Mouser aims to be the design fulfillment distributor of choice”, comments Mark Burr-Lonnon, Mouser Sr. Vice President of EMEA and APAC Business explains. “As well as immediate access to the latest innovative semiconductors and other components, design engineers need design tools. Therefore we see the launch of this powerful MultiSIM BLUE tool as a vital part of our commitment to the global design engineering community.”
“The all-new free Mouser edition MultiSIM will undoubtedly be of great use to design engineers”, added Graham Maggs, Director Marketing, Mouser EMEA. MultiSIM BLUE has an array of features: it supports operating systems running on Windows XP, 7, 8, as well as Vista; the built-in library has over 100,000 components, including Mouser authorized components; the 0.8mm layout sizing fully enables high-precision component design; and the PCB layout function is compatible with standard output file types including Gerber 274X and 274D, DXF, 3D DXF, 3D IGES and IPC-D-356A Netlist for easy design output and verification. MultiSIM BLUE employs the same leading simulation analysis technologies that are utilized in MultiSIM software developed by NI. It is additionally supported by BSIM and other advanced parameters for user-friendly, seamless functional simulation of linear circuits, a valuable, indispensable tool for circuit simulations. Mouser provides real-time MultiSIM BLUE parts database updates, providing makers with around-the-clock continuous technical support.
