MIL-DTL-38999 compliant connectors can be equipped with a variety of contacts including fibre optics

Lane Electronics, a leading electrical and electronic connector distributor, can now supply from stock a range of high performance circular connectors that meet the requirements of MIL-DTL-38999 SERIES III. These high density, threaded coupling connectors, available in a wide range of shell materials including aluminium, composite, marine bronze and stainless steel, are manufactured by Souriau for whom Lane is an assembling distributor.

Lane Electronics can supply a wide variety of standard 38999 connectors on a next day delivery basis, but can also assemble to order custom connectors from its substantial stock profile of Souriau 38999 products and piece parts on surprisingly short lead times. They can also be supplied in different finishes including RoHS compliant, black Zinc Nickel and Zinc Cobalt plating.

These 38999 compliant connectors can be supplied with signal, power, high power, coax, triax, quadrax or Elio fibre optic contacts. When fitted with quadrax, the connector is the ideal solution when 100Mbit/s Ethernet or 15O fibre channel is required in harsh environments. When Souriau’s Elio fibre optic contacts are specified, the connector allows for high speed networks in equally demanding environments.

Lane Electronics also has available a range of accessories including protective caps with a wide choice of plating options with steel wire rope or nylon cords.

Lane Electronics will be showcasing a broad selection of Souriau 38999 SERIES III connectors at the forthcoming DSEI event in London during September. Lane Electronics will be on stand S4-255.

The company offers full QPL certification at no extra cost and requires no minimum order quantities (MOQ’s).

Lane is an ideal source for all key connector types including circular, filtered, RF, coaxial, sub – miniature, backshells and adaptors, D Type, aerospace, test & measurement, IDC, 1 & 2 part PCB edge connectors and connectors for rack and panel applications.
