knitter-switch has announced a key addition to its illuminated pushbutton family with the launch of a new side-operated, long travel switch designed to suit a wide variety of applications. The TM 81 Fx-RA switch has an actuation force of 400gf and combines a long travel characteristic with true tactile feeling and an audible click.
These features are particularly useful in low ambient light, industrial and noisy environments where operators require positive feedback of successful switch operation.
Illuminated by a single or bi-colour LED, the TM 81 Fx-RA is mechanically stable when installed thanks to integral fixing posts and through-hole-mounting. The new switch features gold-plated contacts and a wide operating temperature range of -40ºC to +85ºC.
According to knitter-switch, TM 81 Fx-RA switches are isuited for use in industrial and medical instrumentation, communications infrastructure applications and in computing and network hardware.
Standard switches are available from a number of distributors throughout Europe.
