In just a few days time, the doors will open on What’s New in Electronics Live 2019, held for the first time at brand new venue NAEC Stoneleigh Park in the heart of The Midlands region.

The IPC Hand Soldering Competition returns, once again supported by Advanced Rework Technology.  This year the prize for the winner of the IPC Hand Soldering Competition is to be flown to take part at the Productronica event in Munich.

There’ll be an exclusive area curated by DesignSpark – full details of what to expect will be coming soon, although visitors can look forward to an exclusive Blockchain demonstration as well as a new software launch and a new podcast series delivering the perfect blend of comedy and technology!

This year’s event will also be home to a brand new feature – Robot Challenge.

Robot Challenge, kindly sponsored by RS Electronics and Microchip, will pit a selection of fearsome robots against each other in a purpose built arena, allowing visitors to take part in the action!

A selection of robots with various weapons or driving ability will be available for for visitors to control and drive; along with a house robot ‘Scorpio’ which will be operated by the Robot Challenge team. Visit WNIE Live to get involved in the fun.
