Lane Electronics, a leading supplier of electrical and electronic connector products, has established a specialist motorsport division following its appointment as an assembling distributor for Souriau’s wide range of high performance connectors designed specifically for the harsh environments found in all types of motorsport. Customers will have access to Souriau’s motorsport connectors from Lane Electronics from October 22 2012.
“Souriau is a recognised Worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of connectors and interconnect systems for motorsport applications” commented Simon Hammerton, Managing Director of Lane Electronics. “Lane has been an assembling Souriau distributor for many years supporting the company’s extensive range of connectors for industrial and military/aerospace applications and this new development is a natural extension of our successful relationship.

Lane Electronics has also announced that it has established a dedicated motorsport division and will be assembling motorsport connectors for rapid delivery.
With its main production facility located in Le Mans, Souriau’s connector solutions are used across the world of motorsport on two and four wheels as well as on water and are employed in many areas including: batteries, starters and alternators, fuel pumps, engine control units, communications equipment, data acquisition systems and harnesses. Souriau connectors can be found in Formula 1, Indy cars, GP2, World rally cars, endurance racing including Le Mans 24 hours as well as World Superbikes and Moto GP.
Lane Electronics – also widely known as FC Lane Electronics Ltd – is a franchised distributor and is part of the Lodge Group which includes high reliability circular and military connector manufacturer Weald Electronics.
