Introducing the new AAEON Pico-ITX board from RDS, featuring Intel Apollo Lake processors

Compact and versatile for a variety of industrial applications, the PICO-APL1 is a Pico-ITX board from AAEON. It has a range of Apollo Lake based processor such as the Intel Atom E3900, N4200 and Celeron N3350 processors. The powerful PICO-APL1 is available soon from Review Display Systems.

The Pico-ITX form factor measures 100 x 72mm (3.94 x 2.84-inch) for use in space-constrained applications. Additionally, the PICO-APL1 boasts up to 8GB memory capacity via a DDR3L 1867MHz SODIMM.

The versatile board offers a wide range of I/O, including Gigabit Ethernet LAN (10/100/100Base-TX RJ-45 x 1), one USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports. For storage, there is SATA x 1 and mSATA x 1.

Expansion is provided with a slot for a mPCIe card (optional), I2C or SMBus, depending on the clock frequencies demanded by the application. Furthermore, there is an optional BIO connector for a daughter board, available with the N3350 processor-based version.

The board supports one dual two channel 18/24-bit LVDS LCD and HDMI at 3840 x 2160 (4k x 2k) resolution. Triple display support is also available.

Operating from a 12V supply, the board has an operating temperature range of 0°C – 60°C.
