Intepro UK now part of Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register

Intepro UK, providers of military power management solutions for the UK MOD and defence prime contractors since 1985, is now part of the Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register (JOSCAR).

Created by ADS, the premier trade organisation for the aerospace, defence, security and space sectors, JOSCAR is designed to help suppliers in increasingly complex supply chains to demonstrate they are “fit for business”. A cross-sector initiative, which is being administered by Hellios Information, JOSCAR is currently supported by BAE Maritime Services, Babcock International, Selex ES and QinetiQ and over 2500 suppliers have so far been invited to join.

For the suppliers themselves, in addition to reducing the cost and administrative burden associated with pre-qualification, assurance and ongoing compliance, JOSCAR will ensure both easier access to the markets represented by ADS and the easier identification of business improvement opportunities that can lead to competitive advantage. At the same time, this important initiative will help to drive supplier innovation and encourage new entrants into the market as well as demonstrate, internationally, the capabilities of UK suppliers and UK supply chains.
