Hannover Messe 2018: Real-Time Innovations (RTI) in hall 8, booth C24

Real-Time Innovations (RTI) will feature the latest version of their connectivity platform for real-time applications, RTI Connext DDS 5.3, at Hannover Fair. It is specifically designed for the demanding requirements of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). RTI is exhibiting at the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) pavilion (hall 8, booth C24).

RTI Connext DDS applications span across the industry sector and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)

The RTI connectivity platform provides the communication between smart devices and subsystems and is specifically designed to address the performance, scale and resilience requirements of IIoT applications. It monitors and controls physical-world processes and provides the non-stop availability and security essential for mission-critical systems, as well as a rich set of connectivity capabilities optimised for IIoT systems. Moreover, it supports all of the fundamental communication patterns used in the IIoT. Given the long lifecycles of industrial systems, it is well-suited to incremental adoption.

Connext DDS 5.3 is designed to implement a layered databus pattern while also fostering interoperability and an open architecture. It complies with the Data Distribution Service (DDS) standard and allows sharing data across multiple networks. The latest version features new security plugins, interoperable security (include forward interoperability with future Connext DDS versions) as well as plug-and-play with systems that incorporate components from multiple suppliers. It also provides the capability to efficiently retrieve historical system data when needed, without flooding the network bandwidth. Additionally, the software offers seamless device mobility to ensure there isn’t a loss in connectivity when devices roam across networks.

RTI Connext DDS Secure includes all of the robust features of Connext DDS Professional plus the added functional security of the advanced RTI Security Plugins.
