Peter Miller, senior director, distribution sales Europe at TDK said: “We are extremely proud of the dedication and excellent service shown by Gateway to our shared customers. The Gold Award is thoroughly well deserved by the whole Gateway team.”
Martin Ford, managing director of Gateway was absolutely delighted with the Gold Award and believes that it reflects the tremendous efforts of his committed team in providing the highest possible levels of customer service.
“That this key award should be won against high-profile global competitors,” said Ford, “is a testament to the excellent relationship we have with our customers and is of real kudos to us here, as a UK-based distributor. Last year, when we won Silver we were told by the TDK team that the bar was going to be raised.”
He added, “Such a challenge is just what is welcomed by the experienced Cando team at Gateway and we have risen to it so we are truly pleased with this acknowledgement, from TDK, that our service-led distribution is valued across a wide customer base.”
“We, of course, wish to thank TDK for developing this unique programme for performance standards in our industry,” Ford concluded.
Devised by TDK to set performance standards for its distributor network across Europe, the awards are based on the annual Senten Manten Distributor Performance Evaluation Program. Senten Manten translates from Japanese into “perfect result”. Gateway was one of only three European distributors to secure the Gold standard, reflecting the company’s consistent business and operational achievement against key performance criteria set by TDK for its distributor network.
