Farnell element14 introduces market leading despatch enhancement

Farnell element14 has enhanced its warehousing operations to benefit customers with the introduction of improved picking procedures in its Maybrook warehouse that support a new market leading product label and despatch note.

The picking procedure will further enhance the already world class pick accuracy of 99.75% resulting in even fewer incorrect orders for customers.

The new despatch note and product label have a number of enhancements to make life easier for customers.  Both are fully bar coded with a logical flow of information, containing important data such as RoHS status, country or origin supporting anti-counterfeiting, static handling requirements, plus visibility of any customer specific part numbering.

Recognising the importance of traceability, Date and Lot codes are also available on request for all products, with this information provided as standard on both the product label and despatch note on 21,000 SKUs.

Chris Haworth, Business President, Sales and Marketing, Farnell element14, said: “This latest enhancement to our customer delivery proposition means customers can trust Farnell element14 to deliver genuine products in the way they need them, when they need them.”

This update follows the recent enhancements on the web allowing customers to compare prices for products with different packaging options, side by side online.  Customers have much more control over delivery as well with next day delivery available as standard, and the option of scheduling demand over the coming weeks and months.
