Farnell element14 has been named Phoenix Contacts’ distribution partner of the year 2014 for Device Connections, based on exceptional sales growth.
Steve Herd global product director, Connectors at Premier Farnell stated: “We are delighted to have been recognised by Phoenix Contact as their distribution partner of the year. This week Farnell element14 added Phoenix Contact’s SMD components to the COMBICON product range for SMT production.
Reflecting the trend towards surface mount devices in recent years, the SPT-SMD product series features compact spring-cage PCB terminal blocks with direct plug-in technology for industrial applications up to 1.5 mm², optimised for existing SMT lines where the connection direction and voltage level can be freely chosen.
Farnell element14’s Phoenix Contact portfolio also includes products for their industrial components, industrial electronics and interface sectors.
