The ecosystem around the electronic components and electronic manufacturing companies has reached a marked improvement by the general economic recovery and the financial and economic crises.  All sectors of this industry are now heading for growth.

With the Government of India’s flagship program ‘Make in India’ – to push local manufacturing –  and initiatives like ‘Smart Cities’ and ‘Digital India’, the industry expects to reduce its dependency on electronic import by 50% by 2016-17. As per the Task Force Report by Government of India, the gross size of electronic industry is evaluated to about $1.9 trillion and anticipated to reach $2.9 trillion by 2020. Total production of electronic hardware goods in India is estimated to reach $104 billion by 2020 out of which communication and broadcasting equipment constitutes 31% of total production of electronic goods in India. Electronic industry is one of the fastest flourishing industries in the world and in India. The numbers act as a big motivation for investment in this sector. The trade fairs will feature knowledge sharing sessions to meet the needs of the growing Indian electronics industry. The sessions will be led by industry leaders who will add value by sharing their knowledge. In addition to these sessions, the second edition of an exclusive pavilion on strategic electronics for defence and aerospace – DEFTRONICS – jointly organised by Indian Electronics & Semiconductor Association (IESA) and MMI India – will be powered by key industry people.

Beside this there will be many more power packed conferences taking place concurrent with the trade fairs. Strong alliance with the government of India, Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of External Affairs as well as leading associations like IESA, the Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA), IPC India, Consumer Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association (CEAMA), Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) and many more results in the outstanding quality of electronica India and productronica India.

According to Mr. Bhupinder Singh, CMO & Member of the Management Board, MMI India:  “electronica India and productronica India gather international and local market leaders from the electronics components industry, display products and production technology, thus creating a cutting edge communication and business environment. It is an achievement to have a sold out space two months in advance. This reaffirms our commitment to the industry in offering them the best platform in conducting business. No other trade fair would show a comprehensive picture of the entire electronic components and manufacturing value chain.”

Over the years, the exhibitor and the stakeholder community have continued to believe in the trade fairs and have continuously participated and have helped in building it to be one of the premier shows of the industry. After resounding success of the previous edition of the trade fairs, this year will see the event raising the bar and setting new benchmarks in terms of exhibitor and visitor participation.
