With the eDM-pITX-BT DATA MODUL presents a new Pico-ITX Board based on Intel® Atom™ processors (formerly codenamed “Bay Trail”).
This innovative computer board is developed according to DATA MODUL´s specification in cooperation with a long-term partner, a leading manufacturer of industrial computers.
The fanless eDM-pITX-BT Board is equipped with up to 4GB DDR3L RAM. Heat sources like CPU and RAM are located at the rear side of the PCB. As cooling solution is either a „Heat Spreader“ or a “Heat Sink” with a height of only 15mm available. With the heat spreader the board can be directly adapted to a housing.
The flat cooling solutions are possible because of the new low-power Intel processors, that are already based on a 22nm production process. The integrated graphics are significantly more powerful than the previous Atom™ models and support DirectX 11, OpenGL 3, OpenCL 1.2 and high-performance, flexible hardware decoding to decode even multiple high-resolution full HD videos at the same time.
Up to 2560 x 1600 pixels with DisplayPort are natively supported in the processor. It is also possible to connect up to two independent display interfaces via 2x 24-bit LVDS.
The eDM-pITX-BT is available in 2 CPU variants:
• Intel Atom E3815, 1.46GHz, 5 Watt power consumption
• Intel Celeron J1900 4x 2.42GHz, 10 Watt power consumption
The eDM-pITX-BT offers a lot of further interfaces like 1 x USB 3.0 SuperSpeed, 3 x USB 2.0, 2 x COM (one selectable RS232/422/485), 8x GPIOs, 1 x SATA, HD Audio and Gigabit Ethernet. As special highlight there are two onboard Mini-PCIe Slots (one of them with mSATA support). This offers plenty of expansion possibilities for many different applications. Specifically for industrial applications the CAN 2.0 Bus is integrated. A DC Power Jack or alternatively an internal Molex connector can be used for the +12 VDC power supply.
Additionally to this long-term available (min. 7 years) SBC, DATA MODUL offers the suitable TFT Displays (AUO, Innolux, Sharp,…) including the adapted cable set. A time-consuming display adaption is avoided. With the internal power source, most of the TFTs can be supplied directly by the board. A separate power supply for the backlight isn´t needed.
As further service DATA MODUL offers firmware-development for Embedded-Systems, driver adaptions and OS-configurations.
