Dyson to present at next month’s RF & Wireless Design Forum

Next month Motiv8 will be hosting the next in its series of forums at the William’s F1 Conference Centre near Oxford. Focusing on RF & Wireless technologies the event, running on the 24th June, will comprise of a keynote address from Dyson, six technical presentations and a programme of technical workshops.

Commenting the event’s organiser, Harvey Osborn, said:  “These forums have been designed to bring together engineers and suppliers in order to discuss the very latest technology. This event is set to be our biggest ever, with more sponsors than ever before and as a result we are looking to increase attendee capacity as well.”

Providing all day networking opportunities the event is free to attend.

The morning session will comprise of short technical presentations given by speakers from some of the leading suppliers in the RF and Wireless markets, along with a keynote address from Dr Caroline Simcock – Dyson’s Global Appllicance and Approvals Manager.

Among the presentations Linear Technology will be looking at the implementation of an Ultra-Low Power Wireless Mesh for Sensor Networks (wireless sensor networks are one of the fastest growing sectors for wireless communications today); while Gemalto will talk about the embedded intelligence within its M2M Cellular Modules and will explain how to unlock the full potential of hardware by utilising “on board” Java capabilities to create a faster to deploy, more scalable and ultimately more robust and reliable platform family.

The Technical Workshops programme comprises of six presentations. Multi Tech will look at how to effectively manage cellular connectivity and is intended for engineers and IT professionals looking to get a better understanding of real world connection techniques, best practises and how to realise the management benefits of deployed cellular products.  

The DSP workshop will provide an overview of DECT technology, its key benefits, latest standardisation updates, and will provide a view into the development environments available.
