Powersolve extends its battery charger offering with the launch of a compact charger designed specifically for 36V, 10 cell Lithium-Ion battery packs. These batteries are being widely used today in applications that include the burgeoning electric bike sector.
Powersolve’s PFY105-42-2 operates from a wide AC input with a 2.5A output at 42V. At 105W, the new charger will effortlessly charge Li-ion battery packs as well as the equally popular LiFeP04 variants that are populay today.
It is an efficient unit which is protected against overload, short circuit and has fused input protection. At no load, power consumption is just 0.21W.
Housed in a compact (153 x 60 x 36.5mm) case, connection is via an industry standard 4 pin XLR connector. Given some of the potential applications, users will be interested to know it can be dropped from a height of 90cm on to a dry wood surface and will not break and will pass a 10Mohm insulation test.
The Powersolve PFY105-42-2 is CE certified for EMC and LVD and meets all the relevant EMC approvals.
