Next month sees the Southern Manufacturing and Electronics exhibition open its doors once again. Craft Data will take a stand, this year stand number F122 as we see this exhibition as a great opportunity to showcase our display and thermal printer ranges plus a great chance to speak to our existing customers about their plans for 2017 and a great platform to show our products to potential new customers.
On the stand, we will have examples of character and graphic monochrome LCD modules featuring COB, TAB and COG technologies from our partner BOLYMIN who pride themselves on a comprehensive line up of modules and short leadtimes. From our colour display range we will have several TFT LCD’s at differing sizes including wide viewing “O-Film”, high brightness sunlight viewing plus 4-Wire resistive and Projected Capacitive touch versions from our partners POWERTIP and DIGIWISE. Colour TFT Embedded Display Systems featuring industry standard ARM and Microchip CPU’s from our partners POWERTIP and BOLYMIN will also be available for a closer inspection. New for 2017 will be one of the latest developments in TFT technology, the “Stretch” or “Letterbox” format display, on the stand we will have our 8.8” 1920×480 resolution, 4:1 aspect ratio, 600 cd/m² brightness panel plus our 12.3” 1920×720 resolution, 8:3 aspect ratio, 1000cd/m² panel, utilizing IPS Technology the panel has a super wide viewing angle of 170° on all axis and can be used in both 6H and 12H viewing directions without a negative grey inversion as well as being able to be mounted in both landscape and portrait orientations. To complete the display line up we will have a selection of high contrast blue, white and yellow monochrome OLEDs in both character and graphic formats.
From our thermal printer partners, WOOSIM and RONGTA we will have examples of simple print mechanisms with optional interface/driver boards in print widths from 1” ~ 4” designed to be built into your own bespoke housing and application. A comprehensive panel mount or embedded range which incorporate their own stylish casing with built-in RS232 or USB interfaces plus either a simple paper tear bar or autocutter/guillotine etc.., this range is ready be to fitted into your applications housing fascia or face plate. A smaller aspect for the range are the heavy duty open-frame kiosk or ticket printers capable of taking large diameter paper rolls for demanding print intensive applications and lastly the portable or mobile printer range, available in print widths from 1” ~ 4”, there are many different models in the mobile printer range with each differing in size, design and performance but all incorporating an integrated rechargeable and replaceable Li-ion battery pack a hardwired RS232 or USB interface plus a wireless Bluetooth or WIFI interface for easy communication to your own application including Android and iOS operating systems. We will also be demonstrating rugged Mobile versions in 2”, 3” and 4” print widths, they encompass all the above attributes for the standard mobile printers however due to their construction and double moulded case they are certified to the IP54 standard, meaning they have a greatly improved tolerance to water, dust and dirt and can withstand a drop onto a hard floor from a height of 2M without the addition of an extra case for protection.
