Cobham Wireless sponsors 5G Summit at NIWeek 2015

Cobham Wireless, working in the provision of advanced wireless coverage and mobile communication systems, has announced that it is sponsoring the 5G Summit at the 21st annual NIWeek, where more than 3,200 innovators from a variety of industries explore how advances in transportation, semiconductor test, 5G communications and more are converging to link our physical world with digital infrastructure to create the Internet of Things (IoT). NIWeek 2015 takes place August 3rd–6th at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas, and features technical sessions, interactive demonstrations and keynotes on the latest technology to accelerate productivity for software-defined systems in test, measurement and control.

The industry-focused 5G Summit takes place on Wednesday August 5th at NIWeek. Ian Langley, SVP and general manager of Cobham Wireless, will give an introductory address to the afternoon session at 13:00.

“5G is an important element of the Cobham Wireless strategy, and we are delighted to be able to sponsor the 5G Summit,” said Ian Langley. “As a founder member of the UK’s 5G Innovation Centre, we are playing an active role in the development of the new flexible and programmable air interfaces that are key to the evolution of the 5G ecosystem and to defining the networks of the future. Our work in 5G builds upon our current market leadership in both 4G network validation and wireless coverage solutions.”

“As the NI Global Preferred Partner for Cellular and Connectivity Solutions, Cobham Wireless is proud to be supporting NIWeek,” said Tony Robson, sales director of Cobham Wireless. “Our product portfolio includes a comprehensive range of test systems for both mobile terminals and infrastructure – base stations and small cells – built around NI’s PXI chassis and modules, and a number of leading-edge applications and solutions based on these systems will be on show here on Booth 103.”
