EnOcean becomes a member of the OSGi Alliance

EnOcean has joined the OSGi Alliance. With this membership, EnOcean will now be able to actively contribute to the OSGi Residential Expert Group in defining a universal open interface between energy harvesting wireless technology and the OSGi world. Clock modules from Aspen designed to meet LTE holdover specifications

Aspen Electronics is now stocking the CM55 and CM65 clock modules from DAPU Telecom. According to Aspen, which has an exclusive UK distribution deal with DAPU, the new family of high accuracy clock modules will find application in LTE base stations and other applications that require high holdover. The modules can also replace atomic clocks in a range of high accuracy communications equipment applications.

Cree targets radar amplifier systems with latest high electron mobility transistors

Cree has introduced two new gallium nitride (GaN) high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs) that are suitable for use in 2.9–3.5GHz S-Band radar amplifier systems, including: weather, air traffic control, marine, port surveillance, and search and rescue radar applications. The devices, the 150W CGHV35150 and 400W CGHV35400F, are based on Cree’s high power density 50V, 0.4µm GaN on silicon carbide (SiC) foundry process and performance rated at 85°C case.
