Molex Incorporated has introduced a cost-efficient interconnect solution that speeds up installation, maintenance, repair and removal of roadside equipment and furniture, such as street lighting, traffic signals and road signage. Already tried and tested within parts of Europe, the new Passive Safety Pole Connector includes safety devices and systems that operate without need for human input or action, supporting new EU legislation.

HARTING has expanded its Han B industrial connector product portfolio with the addition of Han Hood Link: a new locking system that speeds cable-to-cable connection by allowing the connection of two standard HARTING 16B hoods while simultaneously achieving an IP 65 degree of protection.

Anderson Power Product (APP) has announced the addition of the Panel Mount Connector to the 3 Position Mini PL family of SPEC Pak sealed connectors. Compact, the panel mountable connector is capable of 22 amps at 600 volts AC/DC (UL). The Panel Mount Connector is secured to a panel via a jam nut and features a manual release latch to prevent accidental un-mating.

Molex Incorporated has unveiled its new Lite-TrapTM SMT Wire-to-Board Connector System featuring an overall compact size that meets the needs of thin LED lighting-module applications. With a profile height of just 4.20mm, this push-button style connector provides one of the lowest profile and wire insertion force available on the market today compared to wire-removable type connectors.

CLIFF Electronics has introduced a Dual USB2 connector which provides two fully USB compliant sockets in a panel space-saving single XLR receptacle. USB connection to audio, broadcast, AV (audio-visual) products, instrumentation and industrial equipment is becoming more common as digital signal and control options increase and more information needs to be transferred between portable equipment, smart phones, tablets etc. which can also be charged while connected.

TE Connectivity (TE) has presented a new 16-02 insert for DEUTSCH DMC-M Single Module connectors. This new connector has been designed to enable in-flight entertainment and other passenger cabin providers to replace two large, legacy connectors with a single, lightweight miniature connector, saving space, weight and cost.

Molex Incorporated recently introduced the EXTreme OrthoPower orthogonal direct-power connector system designed for routing power to backplane line cards in networking and telecommunications applications. The new EXTreme OrthoPower system uses a dedicated power card to power each line card for 30.0A in-and-out-routing, delivering a total of 60.0A per module via split-blade technology.
