LeCroy announces 8 and 12-port SPARQ models for signal integrity analysis

LeCroy Corporation has announced the availability of 8 and 12-port models of the SPARQ series of signal integrity network analyzers. The SPARQ makes S-parameter measurements quickly and is significantly cheaper than a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA). With the 8 and 12-port SPARQ models, signal integrity engineers will have a product that will be able to characterize crosstalk in multi-lane differential structures.

Renesas launches DC/DC LED control demonstration kit

Renesas Electronics has launched a new DC/DC LED control demonstration kit based on the RL78/I1A microcontroller (MCU). The RL78/I1A MCU series of five application-specific standard products (ASSP) are designed for lighting applications. The LED control demonstration kit has been developed to enable system designers to experience the benefits of MCU-based solutions for LED driver development. They can also learn about LED constant current control and various methods of dimming using the lighting-specific RL78/I1A MCUs.

New power metal strip meter shunt resistor

Vishay Intertechnology has unveiled a new Power Metal Strip meter shunt resistor that combines a 3 W power capability in the 2906 size package with very low resistance values down to 300 µΩ. The WSMS2906 resistor features a proprietary processing technique that produces extremely low resistance values from 300 µΩ to 660 µΩ.
