Vishay releases IR receivers for remote control with height of 0.8 mm

Vishay Intertechnology is broadening its optoelectronics portfolio with the introduction of remote control receivers with an improved combination of size and angle of sensitivity. Devices in the new TSOP57x series (which includes the TSOP572.., TSOP573.., TSOP574.., and TSOP575) combine an ultra-low height of 0.8 mm, one of the lowest on the market, with a wide angle of sensitivity of 150°. The receivers sensitivity results in a receiving distance of 40 m.

Agilent unveil fastest real-time oscilloscopes with 63-GHz true analogue bandwidth

Agilent Technologies has introduced the Infiniium 90000 Q-Series of oscilloscopes providing real-time bandwidth of 63 GHz on two channels and 33 GHz on four channels. The new lineup includes 10 four-channel models ranging from 20 GHz to 63 GHz, all of which are bandwidth upgradeable. According to Agilent these new scopes deliver the lowest noise and have the lowest jitter measurement floor in the oscilloscope industry, ensuring superior measurement accuracy.

Sharp unveils new generation of Mini Zenigata LEDs

Sharp Electronics has unveiled a new generation of 4W and 7W LEDs in the Mini Zenigata series, with an efficiency of up to 91lm/W, a higher luminous flux of up to (typically) 585lm (typical), and available with a CRI value of (typically) 82. This new product generation is based on a small plate made of technical ceramics (aluminium oxide Al2O3) with the dimensions 15mm x 12mm x 1.6mm. Efficiency has been improved by up to 11% and the new 4 and 7W arrays have been designed to be more compact, economical and noticeably brighter.
