New from the Engineering Division of Link Microtek is a series of eight waveguide harmonic-absorption filters that are designed to safely eliminate harmonics from the output of a high-power microwave amplifier, thereby ensuring that only fundamental frequencies are transmitted and that there are no potentially damaging reflections back into the system.

KEMET has introduced its extensive new line of polymer Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) capacitors. The T543 Series offers over 300 discrete part numbers not including termination, ESR and surge current options. ROLEC have extended the ‘mobilCASE’ range of handheld enclosures with new case combinations and accessories. AVX Corporation has introduced a new line of polypropylene dielectric DC link film capacitors. Designated the FB Series, the 2-leaded capacitors feature a voltage rating of 550-1200V, a capacitance range from 0.68-75µF, are RoHS compliant, and are available in a range of case sizes containing over 100 new ratings. Applications for the series include DC power supplies and inverters for solar power, electric drive, and industrial power systems.

AVX Corporation has developed a new series of polypropylene dielectric DC link film capacitors. Available in a range of case sizes containing more than 50 new ratings, AVX"s new 4-leaded FE Series capacitors utilize low loss film technology, feature comprehensive capacitance/voltage ratings up to 1.2kV, and are ideal for DC power supplies and inverters for solar power, electric drive, and industrial power systems.

Suitable for high current, high power testing of large machines, appliances and smart grid applications Teseq, a developer and provider of instrumentation and systems for EMC emission and immunity testing, is now offering a 200 A 3-phase burst pulse coupling/decoupling network (CDN) for electrical fast transient (EFT) and burst testing. The new CDN 3083-B200 easily handles high inrush currents and pulse-shaped peak currents, making it ideal for testing high current and high power equipment in large machines, appliances and smart grid applications.

3M GTG, leaders in digital communication technology and part of diversified technology company 3M, has unveiled a new generation of billboard, the MetaTwistTower. This digital installation was launched at the MAC (Munich Airport Centre) Forum, a large outdoor multi-purpose event area, to mark the airport’s 20th anniversary. The Forum is Europe’s largest outdoor space (10,000 square metres) for shopping, recreation and business with a 40 metre high glass roof.
