Murata has launched its DMT series. The solution offers long-term, high temperature reliability (five years at 70°C), a maximum operating temperature of 85°C, low resistance (130mO of high-current, high-output charging and discharging), a nominal capacitance range of 470mF, and an innovative design that enables high voltage handling (4.2V). According to the company it is one of the most reliable electrical double-layer capacitors (EDLC) available on the market.

AVX Corporation has launched a new series of high temperature SMD tantalum capacitors. Encased in hermetically sealed ceramic packages, the THH Hermetic Series features a broad range of capacitance values, the highest rated temperature range of any SMD tantalum capacitor series available on the market (-55ºC to +230ºC)and an extended minimum lifetime of 1,000 hours.

XMOS has launched the xCORE-USB sliceKIT, which is being seen as a significant new addition to its sliceKIT family of modular development boards and software. AVX Corporation has introduced the new TWA-E Series axial-leaded wet electrolytic tantalum capacitor. Featuring a welded tantalum can and header assembly that provides a hermetic seal capable of withstanding harsh shock and vibration requirements in accordance with CECC 30 202-01, the series exhibits a high level of CV in four case sizes (T1-T4).

AVX Corporation has announced a significant expansion to its portfolio of tantalum polymer capacitors, which currently comprises of its TCJ, TCM, TCN, and F38 Series. AVX has released 34 new tantalum solid electrolytic chip capacitors with conductive polymer electrodes or multianodes since May 2013, which has expanded its portfolio to more than 50 parts.
