Altium Limited, a specialist in Electronic Design Automation, native 3D PCB design systems and embedded software development toolkits has announced a partnership with element14 to distribute CircuitStudio, a new easy-to-use PCB Design tool based on Altium technology. CircuitStudio will be available in early 2015 and sold through the element14 Design Center.

Keithley Instruments has introduced the Model 2460 SourceMeter Source Measure Unit (SMU) Instrument, the company’s latest benchtop SMU instrument with a capacitive touchscreen graphical user interface (GUI). The Model 2460 offers users higher power sourcing (up to 105V, 7A DC/7A pulse, 100W max.) with 0.012% basic measurement accuracy and 6½-digit resolution, making it suitable for high power, high precision I-V characterization of modern materials and high power devices.

TT Electronics has launched a new precision Water Insoluble Nitride (WIN) resistor family. The new WIN series thin film chip resistors use an advanced metal film technology to provide extremely high levels of reliability and stability for precision and signal conditioning applications.

Atollic has announced the latest release of its integrated C/C++ development platform TrueSTUDIO. The TrueSTUDIO v5.2 includes a number of notable additions including comprehensive automatic integration with Freescale’s Processor Expert software and extended target and evaluation board support for the latest microcontroller devices from Freescale, NXP, Renesas, STMicroelectronics and Silicon Labs.

Vishay Intertechnology has made a number of enhancements to its PTN series of precision surface-mount thin film chip resistors with a lower absolute TCR of ± 10 ppm/°C and tighter tolerances to ± 0.05 %. Anritsu has launched the new MT1100A Network Master Flex, a portable transport tester for optical networks which can measure client signals at data rates up to 100Gb/s and which is suitable for testing the next generation of 400Gb/s network equipment. At the same time, Anritsu has introduced a number of upgrades to the MT1000A, launched in July 2014, including support for high-speed Fibre Channel and enhanced Ethernet testing.

Vishay Intertechnology has released a new tantalum-cased, hermetically sealed wet tantalum capacitor that is the industry's first qualified to the MIL-PRF-39006/33 specification. According to the company for designers, the M39006/33 (Style CLR93) offers established reliability for critical avionics and aerospace systems.
