Bourns adds T1/E1 transformer models to its inductive components product line

Bourns has added two new T1/E1 transformers to the company’s extensive inductive components product line. Designated Bourns Models SM75056PEL and SM75057PEL, the devices are potted construction versions of existing models, the SM75056EL and SM75057EL, which are produced using an injection molding method.

The two new models are low profile (5.65 mm) and feature a wide operating temperature range of -40 to +85 °C. Both devices are also RoHS compliant. Bourns designed the new T1/E1 models for telecom applications, and is offering significantly shorter production lead times of just 10 weeks compared to 14-16 weeks for existing models.

“With potted construction, these T1/E1 transformer models provide an extra layer of protection in harsh operating environments, and in the assembly process. Potting also enables tighter board layouts by allowing parts to be placed much closer together,” said Guido Zehnder, Product Line Manager at Bourns, Inc. “In addition, the shorter production lead times we are offering should help our customers achieve faster time-to-market for their telecom applications.”
