Avnet’s acquisition of MSC Gleichmann Group (MSC) has been completed and MSC will now operate as a business group of Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA, a business region of Avnet. MSC Vertriebs GmbH and Gleichmann & Co. Electronics GmbH and its subsidiaries will now go to market as MSC Technologies, an Avnet Company.
MSC Technologies focuses strongly on fast-growing markets which included intelligent embedded computing and display solutions. Through its distribution business unit, MSC Technologies also offers wireless, storage and lighting products.
Manfred Schwarztrauber, president, MSC Technologies, said, “MSC Technologies’ customers will benefit from improved levels of solutions in our core competencies and from the expansion of our product portfolio. By optimising the sales structure, we will further improve close customer relationships.”
MSC Technologies will present its portfolio of solutions at embedded world 2014 in Nuremberg later this month.
