Avnet Abacus has signed a pan-European deal with Elektron Technology to distribute the company’s Bulgin and Arcolectric brands throughout Europe. This agreement extends the existing relationship between the two companies, which have previously worked together to supply customers in the UK and Ireland with a broad range of connectivity and electro-mechanical components.
Bulgin and Arcolectric are long established, globally recognised names in the design and manufacture of high quality connectors, fuse holders, battery holders, and switches. This pan-European agreement with their parent company Elektron Technology opens up access to these brands for Avnet Abacus customers across Europe.
The comprehensive selection of product options available include the Buccaneer IP68 and IP69K rated waterproof connectors including the new 6000 series- a range of environmentally sealed circular connectors designed to provide secure and safe connections in harsh or hostile conditions. Also available is a range of mains rated inlet and outlet connectors conforming to IEC and EN60320 specifications, which enables solutions to most mains powered equipment and cable applications.
The product line-up also comprises an extensive selection of fuse holders carrying international safety approvals from UL, VDE, CSA and SEMKO, designed to give the maximum levels of protection in evermore complex electronic equipment. In addition, a range of battery holders for AAA, AA, CR123, C, D and PP3 size cells, manufactured from quality plastic moulded and metal components, ensure a secure and reliable connection in applications such as portable and memory back-up equipment, fully complementing the existing battery portfolio available from Avnet Abacus.
Standard and miniature rocker switches, push button switches, double pole splash resistant switches, and smart indicators are also among the products that can be purchased through Avnet Abacus.
