At electronica: Innovation and expertise times four = AUTOMOTIVE, EMBEDDED, POWER, SMART

At this year’s electronica show, which takes place in Munich from November 8 to 11, the focus is on automotive, embedded, power and smart at the Rutronik Innovation Center in hall A5 on stand 262. Visitors will find carefully selected components, technical innovations and forward-looking live demonstrations for each of these topics:

RUTRONIK AUTOMOTIVE will be presenting specific components from selected manufacturers, as well as providing contact personnel for global technical and commercial support in all automotive applications. Major technical highlights will be the solutions for the 48V Power Net: The new 2 phase, bidirectional DC/DC converter from itk Engineering is designed specifically for the energy conversion of 48V- and 12V-Power Nets. The decentralized point of load converter allows reduced cable diameter and variable implementation. Thanks to the extended temperature range (85-105°C), its power range of 400W up to 700W, an outstanding efficiency of > 98% and the extreme flatness of only 12.5mm, the DC/DC converter is ideal for many automotive applications.

A photo voltaic sunroof for the 48V Power Net from Webasto allows energy harvesting during daylight. The energy generated charges the battery for all high power applications.

RUTRONIK EMBEDDED will be presenting a range of innovations in displays, memory, boards, peripherals for industrial IoT applications, as well as wireless interfaces for robust applications. There will also be a demo on show directly from the Intel research lab: The RealSenseTM Camera from Intel® enables real 3D scanning and data output. It combines a 1080p-HD-camera, the smallest Infrared Laser Projector with an improved range by 60%, as well as an Infrared Camera with an optimized IR sensor, up to 200fps support, more than 18M 3D points per second and a three times improved signal quality. With these, the camera “sees” like the human eye to sense depth and track human motion.

RUTRONIK POWER will be presenting scalable solutions for power conversion and switching, and for connecting resistive, capacitive or inductive loads. The stand will feature a hybrid energy storage system comprising lithium-ion batteries and ultracapacitors developed for power tool applications in cooperation between the Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau University of Applied Sciences and Rutronik.

This power management system improves the tool’s performance and significantly extends the life of the lithium-ion battery.

RUTRONIK SMART bundles sensors, signal processing, wireless technology, security and power management for IoT applications in the core fields of healthcare/lifestyle, smart home, smart energy, industrial connectivity and connected mobility.

In the Rutronik24 Lounge, visitors will be able to discover all the new features and benefits of the established e-commerce platform Rutronik24.

In addition, Rutronik partners including Diodes, Infineon, Intersil, Micronas, Renesas, Schurter, STMicroelectronics and Swissbit will be presenting their innovations. World market leader Samsung SDI will be exhibiting its portfolio of cylindrical lithium-ion batteries exclusively on the Rutronik stand.

In the Supplier Lounge, visitors will be able to engage in dialog with experts from Advantech, ASJ, Intel, JAE, Osram, Samsung EM, Telit and Toshiba on the latest technologies, innovations and products.
